Human-in-the-loop: our hedge against hesitation

Public agencies move carefully with new technology, and for good reason. Our human-in-the-loop approach turns that caution into common ground. It’s how we build the trust and transparency that lets public-private partnerships actually move forward and helps modernize government organizations rather than spook them.

To back that up, we’re rolling out an ecosystem-wide AI Security Governance policy to stay ahead of the regulatory curve and use AI responsibly, ethically, and safely. Two pieces worth calling out:

• AI usage policy. In response to industry-wide concerns around third-party AI tools, we’re implementing a safeguard policy and internal controls to ensure proprietary and sensitive data is never used to train third-party models.
• Redaction & data protection. We’ve adopted an enterprise-grade, privacy-first redaction approach for sensitive data, and human-in-the-loop review of both inputs and outputs stays a literal practice before any information moves across platforms.
